Ruth V. Confer, 90, of East Petersburg, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Lancashire Hall. Born February 24, 1926 in Pine City, PA she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mae Lewis. Her late husband of 51 years Chester E. Confer passed in 1993.

She and her husband owned and operated Pine City Enterprises, a snowmobile and Lawn and Garden shop.

She enjoyed bowling, watching QVC, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies.

Surviving is a son, Howard Confer husband of Sieglinde of East Petersburg, daughter-in-law, Rebecca Confer of Neffsville, three grandchildren, Susan, Bradley, Emily and two great-grandchildren Tyler and Liam. She was preceded in death by a son, Francis Confer and her siblings.

Services and Interment will be private. Contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to Brittany's Hope, 1160 N. Market St, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 for the Dow Family Home in Kenya.
