Rufino Mercado, 85, of Lancaster passed away February 22, 2012 at his home. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Candido and Julia (Mercado) Mercado. He was married to Amalia Bega who passed away in 1998. He worked as a farmer in Puerto Rico. He is survived by his children: Rufino, Victor, Edith, Iris, Luisa and Irma. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was of the Catholic faith. Funeral Services and Burial will be held in Puerto Rico at the convenience of the family.
