Rosemary M. Harding of Lancaster died while visiting family in Hawaii on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. She was the wife of the late Alvin C. Harding who died in 1983. Born in Lancaster she was a daughter of the late Howard S. and Elizabeth A. (Rietchey) Sprout. Rosemary worked for the Lancaster County Courthouse as a court clerk for domestic relations for 18 years prior to her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster, T-walkers club and enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Rosemary was active with Lancaster City Happy Heart program at Rodney Park. Rosemary was a volunteer at the former St. Joseph Hospital and was an usher at the Fulton Theatre for many years.

She is survived by her two children Judy A. Harding of Lancaster and Alvin C. Harding, Jr. of Landisville, husband of Susan (Brickman) Harding; grandchild, Joel Harding living with his wife Elizabeth (Lamb) in Hawaii, and sister-in-law Ann , wife of Ted Stevens. Rosemary was preceded in death by her grandson Brett Harding, sisters Bette Burkman and Catherine Miller, brothers William and Howard Jr (June) Sprout, and sisters-in-law, Catherine Emmert and Dorothy Asplin. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews who enjoyed her company as did all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11AM from Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl St. Lancaster, PA 17603 with Pastor David Kreider officiating. Interment will be held privately. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of her memorial service at the church.
