Rosemarie A. Jupin, 81, died Monday, February 28, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born in Brockton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guido and Emma Coccio.
Rosemarie was employed for over thirty years at the former RCA Corporation, Lancaster. She was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where she was an active volunteer of the Holiday Bazaar Committee and the Funeral Luncheon Committee, where she had many dear friends. Rosemarie also volunteered at Dominican Monastery of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was a long-time member of the International Federation of Catholic Alumnae. She also enjoyed reading cooking, and working in her garden.
Rosemarie was survived by a daughter, Lennas M. Vollmer, wife of Michael of Tifton, Georgia, and a son, Deacon Peter J. Jupin, husband of Beth A. of Lancaster; 3 sisters, Jeanina Majka of Reading, Louise DeWire of Tamaqua, and Jane Morgan of Harrisburg; 3 brothers, Joseph Coccio of Philadelphia, Albert Coccio of Tamaqua, and Guido Coccio of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren, Damian Vollmer of Cameron, N.C., Justin Vollmer of Greensboro, G.A., Bethany Vollmer of Colorado Springs, C.O. (and currently serving her country in Afghanistan), and Zachary Jupin of Lancaster; 2 great granddaughters, and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Jupin. They were married 55 years. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip, and by a granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Jupin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 4 at 11 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, with Monsignor Richard A. Youtz as Celebrant. A viewing will take place at the Church from 10-11 a.m. preceding Mass. A viewing will also take place at the Church on Thursday, March 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., followed by recitation of the Rosary. Final Commendation and Farewell will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
