Rose Mary McAllister, 84, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Brethren Village, where she had resided since 2008. She had previously resided at Oak Leaf Manor.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lory C. and Isabelle Feeley McAllister.

Rose Mary had worked as a secretary for 5 years at her father's business, Hinkle and McAllister Pharmacy. She had then worked at Lancaster General Hospital for 15 years as a nurse's aide. She had also worked for Children and Youth Services Agency in Lancaster for 15 years.

She attended Millersville State College from 1946 to 1948.

Rose Mary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was active in the Senior Citizens Group.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling throughout the county, and had served as a volunteer at Oak Leaf Manor.

She is survived by her nephew, Matthew McAllister of Maine. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence W. McAllister and her nephew, Timothy McAllister.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 1-1:30PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:30PM, the Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Interment in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.
