Ronald L. Koble, 89, of New Holland, PA, passed away on May 1, 2024.

Ron was born in Danville, PA, and was the son of the late Lamar and Margaret (Yeager) Koble. He was preceded in death by his sister Peggy in 1943. He married Margaret Martin in 1958 and Dorothea Bolan in 2001.

He is survived by his children, Ann (Chris) Viozzi, Lynn Koble (Clive Swift) and Marc Koble, and his beloved grandchildren, Megan, Michael and Mathew Viozzi, and William Koble.

Ron graduated from Shamokin High School in 1952 and earned an undergraduate degree from Millersville State College in 1956. He was awarded a master's degree in 1961 and a doctoral degree in 1963 from the Pennsylvania State University. He was a faculty member at East Carolina College, Trenton State College and for 25 years at Penn State, University Park.

Subsequently, he was a school administrator at State College High School, Sun Area Vocational Technical School and Philipsburg Osceola High School, all in Pennsylvania.

Ron was the author of numerous publications pertaining to educational leadership and workforce education and was a member of numerous professional education associations.

Ron was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow (Vigil Honor), proudly serving on staff at several Scout jamborees. He cherished hiking and other outdoor adventures with his father and son, especially at his cabin in Union County. Cabinetmaking, reading and architecture were among his other interests.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
