Ronald A. King, 79, of Mount Joy, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Hospice & Community Care of Mount, Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Donald A. and Dorothy S. (Hassler) King, and the beloved husband of Dorothy S. (Reiff) King, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Prior to retiring, Ronald was a self-employed machinist. He had a great love for life and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by two daughters, Wendy T. King of Strasburg, and Jodi A. King and her companion Jeff Fry of Pequea. Also surviving is his daughter-in-law, Judy King, of Dauphin; a sister, Kathleen Motter and her husband Robert of York; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ronald A. King, II, and a grandson. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, 17543, where the family will receive guests from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and will take place at the convenience of the family.
