Ronald P. Hohenwarter, 53, of Lancaster, died at his home on June 30, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lancaster, Ron was the son of the late Paul R. Hohenwarter and the late Doris R. Bennawit.

Ron graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1973, and was a 1977 graduate of Millersville University with a B.S. in Technology Education. Ron was a self-employed clock repairman for thirty years, earning the Pritchard Prize for restoration of an Elgin Car Clock.  He previously worked at Home Depot as Department Manager, he was a Construction Superintendent at Contech, Senior Security Analyst at Commonwealth Security Systems, and Senior Buyer at J.C. Penney.

Ron was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lancaster.

A member of the National Watch and Clock Association, Ron's hobbies included collecting and selling antiques as well as clock and watch repair.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Emily Murphy, sister, Sandra Heisey, wife of Ted, and niece, Abby Heisey, all of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 901 N. Duke St., Lancaster, PA with Rev. Norman Hohenwarter as celebrant.  A viewing will be held at the church from 10 until 11 AM.  Interment will follow mass in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.  Please omit flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's memory may be made to Lancaster Catholic High School, 650 Juliette Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
