Ronald H. Hess, 70, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. He was born in Lancaster to the late E. Howard and Betty A. Reagan Hess. Ron was married to his high school sweetheart, Dolores E. Kohler Hess, for 49 years last May.

Ron attended Lancaster Catholic High School. He worked at Schick for 13 years and retired from High Industries after 26 years. He was a good provider and a hardworking man.

A motor head, Ron enjoyed all car events. He was very proud of his 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, which he bought new. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife Dolores, Ron is survived by three sons, Robert J., Marietta, Thomas A., husband of Amy Wielgolinski Hess, Lancaster, and Donald G. Hess, Lancaster; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin, Cassidy and Thomas II; and his sisters Peggy Hohenwarter and Betty, wife of Sam Moyer.

Mass will take place 10:30 AM Friday, November 8, 2103, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Ron's family will receive friends 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday at church. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
