Roberta W. Bowman , a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2010.  She was surrounded by the people and things she loved; her family, her friends, and her books.

She was born on November 22, 1943 to the late George H. and Gertrude Ryan Wann.  She was the eldest of nine children, a graduate of Manheim Township High School, and a lifetime resident of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa J. Bowman of Lancaster and Lori Bowman Hockenberry (wife of Edward Hockenberry) of Millersville.  Also surviving are two grandchildren Katherine M. Hockenberry and Thomas E. Hockenberry, six brothers, two sisters, and her beloved Aunt Jackie (Mrs. Francis Stetz) of Reading, Pennsylvania.

No viewing is planned.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
