Robert W. Voris, 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Vaughn W. and Charlotte (Ward) Voris. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Murry) Voris to whom he was married to for 53 years.

Mr. Voris was employed by Lancaster Carpet Mart as a Manager and a Carpet Measurer. He was a Carpet installer in a partnership for 10 years and a Bar Manager at Overlook Restaurant for 10 years. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II.

Surviving besides his wife are his children: Deborah Ann, married to Dennis Vollmar of Mt. Gretna and  W. Robert, married to Tanya Voris of Lebanon. Mr. Voris has one grand- daughter, Dana M. Voris.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Jr. Inc, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. 17543, at 12PM with Rev. Donald Metz officiating.  Friends may be received from 11AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Hospice of  Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604- 4125.
