Robert "Rob" Vega, Jr., 22, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly July 6, 2013 in Fayette County, PA. Born in New Britain, CT, Rob was the son of Roberto Sr. and Marianela (Ugalde) Vega, of Lancaster.

Rob was a 2009 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and graduated this past spring from University of Pittsburgh, where he majored in psychology and political science.

He loved working out and playing sports, especially baseball and basketball. He was an avid Yankees and Steelers fan. Rob had an artistic touch; he enjoyed drawing and reading, and loved helping others.

In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his brothers, Anthony and Alexander Vega, both of Lancaster, maternal grandmother, Mariaisabell Elizondo, of Costa Rica, paternal grandparents, Felix & Iris Vega, of Puerto Rico, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Sonia Herrera.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 at 12 Noon at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 with Rev. Allan Wolfe as Celebrant. There will be a visitation from 10AM-12Noon at the church. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
