Robert J. Trowbridge, Sr., 69, of Lancaster, PA passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the wife of Sharon (Bernetskie) Trowbridge to whom he was married for 25 years. Born in Kingston, NY he was the son of the late Jesse and Kathleen Irene (Connor) Trowbridge. Bob was a senior estimator with Kinsley Construction Company of York, PA. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Millersville, PA where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a very active member with the Santa Maria Assembly 915, Lancaster, PA currently serving as a Faithful Trustee and Past Faithful Navigator. Bob also was a member of Council 867 of the Knights of Columbus, Lancaster, PA and the Red Rose Chorus. He also proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Bob loved kids, animals, was quick witted and gave great advice. He was a great man, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed. Bob loved building and was a talented wood worker. He was a very dedicated employee and was known by all for his on time philosophy and was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed him. He will be deeply missed by his little dog Cricket. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Robert J. Trowbridge, Jr of Shoemakersville, PA, Scott Trowbridge and wife Tammy of Middletown, PA, Brian Trowbridge of Enola, PA, Kathleen wife of Robert Mort of Bresler, PA, Jeffery Trowbridge of Harrisburg, PA, Kelly wife of Roger Morgan and Dawn Miller both of FL; 28 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Joan Dewitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10AM from St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with the Santa Maria Assembly 915 Honor Guard. There will be no viewing at the Church. Private family interment will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park later that day.
