Robert W. St. Clair Sr., 86, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at Conestoga View Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Virginia H. (Mowery) St. Clair for 56 years. Born in Lancaster, Robert was the son of the late Margaret (Smith) and John St. Clair.

Robert attended Lancaster Catholic High school. Robert served his country in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of the 2 ^nd Special Battalion, Company B Sea-Bees, and 3rd Marine Division. After the military Robert became a tool and die maker. Some of his interests include painting, golf, fishing, and he was an avid Notre Dame and LCHS sports fan. Some of Robert's memberships include St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Millersville VFW Post #7294.

Surviving are 2 sons; Robert w. St. Clair and Timothy J. St. Clair both of Lancaster. 4 Grandchildren; Catherine St. Clair of Puyallup, WA, Sean St. Clair of Olympia, WA, Margaret and Andrew St. Clair of Lancaster. 1 Sister; June wife of J. Herbert Pfautz of Brickerville and 1 Brother R. Patrick St. Clair of Lancaster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 28, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 East Orange Street Lancaster, 17602 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Mitzel as celebrant. A viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 414 E. King St.  Lancaster, 17602 from 930-1030 a.m. Thursday morning. Interment will be private.
