Robert W. Spohn, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Ida Marie (Smith) Spohn. Bob joins his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Ann (Pugliese) Spohn who died in 2016. After graduating McCaskey High School in 1956, Bob proudly served in the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for over 20 years with RCA as a machinist and then retired from Eastern Drillers as a CNC Programmer. Bob was a handyman who could fix almost anything. He was a longtime parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lancaster and belonged to the Lancaster Bocce League. Bob is survived by his daughters Teresa Wall, wife of Scott, and Elizabeth Mathews, wife of Joseph, both of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Kyle and Jarrett Wall and John "JJ" Mathews; and his siblings: Marie Imhoff, wife of Samuel, and Frank Spohn, husband of Patricia, both of Lancaster. A viewing will be held from 6PM to 8PM, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
