Robert James Snyder, 68, of Gordonville passed away on Friday afternoon surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years (Elizabeth C. Snyder), children (Janice Menkevich, Paula Fellenbaum, Robert Snyder, Edward Hollenbach, Michael Hollenbach, and Jamie Snyder), siblings (Dennis Snyder, Jeanie Youst, Marie Bennett, and Monica Snyder), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bob loved to feel the wind in his hair and hear the roar of his 18-wheeler on the open road. When not steering his big rig, Bob loved to relax with his wife, children, and dog Buddy. He especially looked forward to watching the outlandish antics of his favorite WWE wrestlers each week, sitting on the edge of his armchair for their most dramatic comebacks and heartbreaking losses. Bob was also an avid member of the Strasburg Sportsman's Association.

Those who knew Bob best will remember him with a smile on his face and a deep love for others in his heart. Even on some of his worst days, he made the nurses who cared for him laugh. On some of his best, he could be found lighting up any room he entered…literally. After all, who could forget his lime green trucker hats, comically oversized sunglasses, and show-stopping LED sneakers?

Bob will live on through the immeasurable impact he made on others. We will profoundly miss his positive spirit, kind heart, and unconditional love. Simply put, family gatherings and trips to the mountains will never be the same without him. Even in death, Bob will continue to live on – not only because of our shared memories, but also because he had the honor of donating via the Gift of Life donor organization.

No amount of words can express how much we love you and will miss you. As Stone Cold Steve Austin used to say, "…and that's the bottom line."
