Robert E. Rogers, 72, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on April 16, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital, due to complications involving cancer. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late James and Rita (Casey) Rogers. Robert was the loving husband of Linda C. (Massar) Rogers.

A veteran, he served in the US Navy. Robert was a retired carpenter, who built the entire second floor of their home by himself and remodeled multiple other areas. He was a member of the Amvets and Riverside Club, where he enjoyed playing in multiple pool leagues. He was in a bowling league at Leisure Lanes for many years, and enjoyed gardening. He also was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He will be missed by many, including his cat, Jax.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, is a daughter, Lisa Jo Rogers; a son, Jeffrey Alan Rogers; grandchildren: Lylian Rose Minnich, Kylee Marie Rogers and Teagan Michelle Rogers; and sisters, Peggie Colestock, wife of Stanley, and Rita Whitebread, wife of the late Walter. He was preceded in death by brother, James Rogers II.

Friends will be received from 10-11 AM with a Memorial Service to begin at 11 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 3131 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Clifton D. Eshbach. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central PA, 101 Erford Road, Suite 201, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
