Robert Earl Phillips, 83, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital, Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born in Nashville, GA, Bob was the son of the late Robert Edward and Betty (Smith) Phillips. He was the loving husband of Minda (Rodriguez) Phillips. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he drove truck for Yellow Freight until his retirement. Of the Christian Faith, Bob loved his family and his dogs. He especially enjoyed watching old John Wayne films and listening to Country music. In addition to his wife, Minda, Bob leaves behind his daughter, Angelina Gorin, wife of Gordon, of Whitehall, PA; and his son, Lloyd Phillips, husband of Samantha, of the Bronx, NY. He is also survived by extended family in both Hawaii and the Philippines. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8PM, Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551. Private interment will take place in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Valdosta, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Bob's memory be made to the Lancaster County SPCA, 848 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
