Bob's spirit was released from his earthly home on March 3, 2010. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his family; wife, Loretta Stathopulos Garrett and his daughters Tracey Garrett, Elizabeth Garrett Keehner, and Jennifer Garrett. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Cameron, Afton, Stewart, Brooke, Connor and Kendall. Surviving as well are a sister, Gwendolyn Fry Carter and a brother, George Garrett, husband of Peg Garrett, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His parents were the late Raymond H. Garrett and Grace Greenwood Garrett. Bob retired after 38 years of teaching science at Garden Spot High School, where he influenced and encouraged his many students. Bob  was active in community service over many years and was devoted to his church, Grace United Church of Christ. After he retired from teaching, Bob worked part-time at Manheim Auto Auction where he forged close friendships with his fellow van members. These men from varied backgrounds touched Bob and he cared about each and every one of them. Bob also was a life long golfer who played the game for the beauty of nature and the pleasure of sharing time with his golf buddies. We are grateful for the support and prayers of all our friends and family, and are thankful for the care and guidance of Hospice of Lancaster County.

A memorial service will be held at Grace UCC, 1947 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m.
