Obituary

While his God and the angels smiled, his loved ones in heaven rejoiced at seeing Bob again. Christopher was the first in line to meet his father whom he hasn't seen in 39 years and welcomed him to heaven. We here on earth are left to mourn with broken hearts the profound loss of his presence. Our beloved Bob (Bobby), a husband, dad, pop-pop, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend left us on November 1, 2018 after losing his four month battle with pancreatic cancer. His loved ones were with him as he drew his last breath and we know that his soul has soared to heaven. Of course, we wanted him to grow to be an old man enjoying the fruits of his many years of labor; his lovely home with Deb, his cabin in the mountains that he rebuilt with his dad's help. It was a place of peace and calm where he had looked to spend many days of retirement. He will forever be denied the joy of seeing his grandchildren grow up to be adults. We will forever love and miss him every day. With joy we will remember the love he brought into our lives. As the middle child and the only boy, he was sandwiched between two sisters. He could be quite the rascal, tormenting and teasing as only brothers can do. Born on March 12, 1959, Bob was baptized a Catholic. His schooling of grades 1 thru 8 were at St. Anne's Parochial School and 9 thru 12 were at Lampeter-Strasburg, graduating in 1977. While at St. Anne's he played baseball and was on the team that won their division and the New Era Tournament. While at Lampeter-Strasburg, he had excelled in football and track. Bob was employed by Protech Mechanical Contractors Inc. He was among the first of their hires when the business started. He loved his wife and his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. Although, not a reader while in school, he became an avid reader as an adult especially enjoying history, novels of wars, like the Civil War and WWII. Bob is survived by his wife Debra (Atkinson), children; Amy Kline (Shawn), Matthew (Amanda Smith), grandchildren; Austin, Aiden, Zoey, Alexa and Carter, parents; Robert Sr. and Virginia (Geubtner) Joline and sisters; Denise M. Joline and Julie A. Joline (John M. Curtin) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher. Bob and Deb were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church and they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this week on November 3rd. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 7th from 6-8 pm at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. There will be a second viewing from 10-11am on Thursday, November 8 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603.
