Robert E. Jones, 76, of Lancaster died Tuesday at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Cornelius and Ethel Bailey Jones. Bob was married to Florence Holmes Jones for 52 years. He was retired from Millersville University as a Maintenance Engineer and previously worked at Hamilton Watch. .He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving besides his wife are four children: Jan M. wife of Steven D. Lentz, Lititz, Mary C. Jones, Robert E Jones Jr., Michael P. Bowers, all of Lancaster, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, Paul and two sisters:, Patricia Keen and Gloria Brandt. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Jones and a brother, Jack Jones.

A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA. on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at 11:00AM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
