Obituary

Robert Lee Henson, lovingly known as "Tippy", 66, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence W. Henson and Alice E. Lane.

Tippy was " The Man" and always lived life to the fullest. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being a die-hard Eagles fan. As a McCaskey graduate and lifelong Lancastrian, he knew everyone. From muscle cars to motorcycles he lived a life filled with good friends and family. His laugh was loud and infectious and he never failed to make you smile. Tippy was the ultimate jokester and will be deeply missed by all who we're blessed to know him. He was a member of the Conestoga Lodge #140 and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are Robert's children: Robert Myers, husband of Lakeesha Bair-Myers, Kevin Myers, April Myers, Clarence Henson and Erin Henson-Jones, wife of John Jones and a stepdaughter, Briana Branche; siblings: Charles Lane, Gladys Lane and Harold Lane. He was also survived by 8 grandchildren: Tyara, Tajanea, Leilani, Anyzha, D'Anna, Deandre, Derek Jr., Amari.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Henson, a son, Derek Henson and a sister, Agnes Moore.

A viewing will take place from 10-11AM with a Home Going Service to begin at 11AM on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Brightside Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603. Robert will be laid to rest at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
