Robert "Bob" E. Himmelberger, Jr., 72, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Hamilton Arms Center. Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the son of the late Robert E. and Ruby Himmelberger. He was the loving husband of Debra M. (Rishell) Himmelberger, to whom he was married May 2, 1980. Bob proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam era, from 1962-1966. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a machinist at Ephrata Tool Inc., for over 30 years. Bob was a lifetime member of the Am Vets and belonged to the Am Vets Post #19. In addition to his wife, Debra, Bob is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dilling, married to Tracey, of York and his son, Steven Cashdollar, married to Jaymie, of Lancaster. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Nicolas, Bennett, Nathan, and Eve Cashdollar. Memorial Services and interment with full military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Road Camp Hill, PA 17011.
