Robert A. Dixon, 73, of Lancaster, PA died on Friday, April 10, 2015. Born in Lancaster, PA on April 27, 1941 he was a son of the late Albert Dorsey and Levinia (Cooper) Dixon. Mr. Dixon attended St. Anthony Catholic School and was a member of Lancaster Catholic High School's undefeated Central Penn Catholic Football League championship team in 1956. Robert was a 1959 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. He retired from the shipping department of Alcoa. Robert was an avid golfer, enjoyed horse races, spending time with his grandchildren and gathering with his friends for coffee at the Turkey Hill. Mr. Dixon served his country in the US Army. He is survived by a son Joshua Dixon, two grandchildren Jocelyn and Maya Dixon; a brother Carl Dixon, a sister Viola Pearson, an aunt Carolyn Curry, several nieces and nephews and a special niece Jennel Rutherford all of Lancaster, PA. Robert was preceded in death by two brothers Cleon and William Dixon. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2pm at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service from 1-2pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E.
