Robert Joseph Boswell, Jr., 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Washington, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Boswell, Sr. and Ruth (Boone) Boswell.  Robert was the husband of the late Ruth May (Nystrom) Boswell.

A veteran, Robert served in the US Army during WWII.  Robert graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Washington & Jefferson College.  He taught classes at the United States Military Academy at West Point College.  Robert was a terminal manager for Suawk Company in Washington, PA for 14 years and a terminal manager for, and retired from, Motor Freight Express for 20 years.  He also worked as a manager at Firestone Complete Auto Care.  Robert was a member of the Rotary Club since 1962 and a Mason.  He loved Dixieland music, playing cards and being with his friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hershey of Ephrata, PA and Barbara Brunner, wife of Ray G. Brunner, of Punta Gorda, FL; a brother, James Boswell of Greensburg, PA; a sister, Margaret Hutchison of Washington, PA; and his longtime friend and companion, Jane Heavner.  Robert will be missed by his granddog, Isabella.
