“Bobby” Good

Robert E. "Bobby" Good, 75, of Lititz, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Lancaster, he was the husband of Barb (Shriner) Good of Lititz, and the son of the late Menno and Anna (Eckman) Good. Passionate about his business, Bobby was the owner and operator of Good's Auto Service on East Main Street, Lititz, for 35 years before passing it to his son, Craig. He was immensely proud of his graduation from the Automotive Management Institute. He was the past president of the Lancaster County Chapter of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers. In the 70's and 80's, Bobby was a well-known race car mechanic. Along with his wife, he was involved in drag racing, with a number of wins. He was also a fan of NASCAR. Bobby loved the water, and especially enjoyed boating on the Bush River on the Chesapeake Bay. He owned many boats throughout his life, but his last, a speedboat, was his baby. Family get-togethers were always cherished. He was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by two sons: Craig R. Good and his wife Gwen of Lititz; and Kevin E. Good and his wife Bessie of Nottingham, PA; 2 grandchildren: Austin J. and Alyssa R. Good, both of Lititz; a brother, Menno Good of Lansdale; 2 sisters: Anna Mae Huff of Tyrone, PA and Mary Jane Hershey of east Petersburg; a number of nieces and nephews; and his cherished shiht-zu, Fuzzy. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz with Rev. Dr. Menno Good officiating. Family and friends will be received 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brickerville Lutheran Church cemetery. The family would like to thank United Zion Retirement Community and Hospice & Community Care for the care they took of Bobby. Kindly omit flowers.
