IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert D.
"Bob" Hoover
December 16, 2025
Robert Duane "Bob" Hoover, 75, of Lititz, passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2025. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Howard and Bessie (Tolley) Hoover.
Bob graduated from Sharon High School and dedicated more than two decades to his work as a cartographer at R. R. Donnelley & Sons. He was drafted into the United States Army and served honorably from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. Though he rarely spoke of his experiences, he carried deep pride in his military service.
A devoted father, Bob rarely missed a single event or game in his children's early years, often lending a hand as a coach. He was known for his meticulous care of his home and lawn, taking quiet satisfaction in keeping both in pristine condition. Bob was deeply involved in the Lititz Jaycees. While proudly serving as the President for multiple years, he could be found joyfully serving in the concession stand in the Lititz Springs Park at every 4th of July Celebration. He thoroughly enjoyed playing in the pool leagues at the White Swan in Rothsville. Once grandchildren came into the picture, Bob delighted in sharing photos with anyone that would ask. He especially loved when he could pick up his granddaughters from preschool and share a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with them.
He is survived by his two children, Brentt A. Hoover (Christy), Elizabeth J. May (Christopher); seven grandchildren—Madeleine Hoover, Samuel Hoover, Annabelle May, Abigail May, Maxwell Hoover, Alyce May, and Agatha May; and his brother, Jeffrey L. Hoover (Tina). He was preceded in death by his brother, C. David Hoover.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors .
