Rita D. Brown, 84, of Lancaster, passed away, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mt. Joy. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Maria (Ferrante) Baccile. Rita was the wife of the late Charles E. Brown who passed away in March 26, 1995.

Rita graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in 1942. She currently attended Mary Mother of the Church in Mt. Joy but was an active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 44 years. She enjoyed needle point and crafting.

Rita is survived by 2 sons; Charles G. Brown husband of Dawn of Newfield, NJ and Paul J. Brown "Buck" of Mt. Joy. A daughter; Rita Kelly wife of Michael of Fallston, MD. 7 grandchildren. 2 great grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son; Christopher Brown. A brother; Joseph Baccile. And a sister; Gloria Powell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Lancaster County 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, January 16, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 558 W. Walnut St. Lancaster 17603 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Grab as celebrant. Interment will be private.
