Richard B. Whittington, 82, of Stuart, FL, passed away on November 23, 2016 at Magnolias of Lancaster. Born in Worcester, MA, Richard was the son of the late Thomas & Madeline (Coleman) Whittington. Richard was the loving husband of 61 years to Beverly (Brenner) Whittington. Richard served our country as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for military action in the Vietnam War. Richard started his own very successful manufacturer's representative business in 1969, Whittington Associates. Family was paramount in Richard's life. He led by example with kindness and generosity. Surviving in addition to his wife, Beverly, are two children: Beth Frame, wife of Christopher, and Richard B. Whittington, Jr., husband of Virginia Ursin; four grandchildren: Emily Moyer, wife of James, Laura Frame, Eric & Kristina Whittington; two great-grandchildren: Salvy & Sophia Moyer; a brother, Thomas E. Whittington, Jr.; and several nieces & nephews. Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Constance Dimling. Friends will be received from 2:30-3PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 3PM with Military Honors on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
