Richard "Tom" Thomas Clarke, 67, of Strasburg, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at his home. Born in Akron, OH, Richard was a son of Marjorie A. (Gray) Clarke and the late Harold T. Clarke. He was the loving husband of Janet Clarke, with whom they shared 43 years of marriage. Tom spent the majority of his work life at Sears, Roebuck and Co. where his career spanned 33 years. He was a railroad enthusiast with a passion for railroad memorabilia and lanterns. Tom was a man of faith and a longtime member of the Church of Christ. Disney World was one of his favorite places and he had fond memories of time spent there with family and friends. Tom's life revolved around his family and he especially adored time spent with his grandson, James. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Clarke) Borys, son-in-law Ron Borys, grandson James Borys, sister Kimberly (Clarke) Berliere, brother-in-law Alain Berliere, nephew Michael Berliere and his wife Brittany Berliere. A visitation will be held at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11AM with visitation held prior starting at 10am. Interment will follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
