Richard L. "Rick" Garreth, 76, of Ephrata, passed away February 4, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ross W. and Regina "Jean" Garreth.

He attended St. Anne's parochial school in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School. He was an avid Star Trek and sci fi fan and found great joy in his independence. After his father's passing, he took responsibility of caring for his mother and sister, Kathleen.

Rick is survived by his niece, Jennifer, wife of Thomas Weise, of Lititz, and a grand nephew, Ross Weise. He was preceded in passing by his sisters, Karen Sensenig and Kathleen "Kathy" Garreth.

Services will be private with interment taking place at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation , or ARC of Lancaster .

Through the Gift of Life program, Richard was able to help others.
