Richard W. King, 62, of Lancaster, went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. He was the loving husband of Rose (Shelley) King. Born in Arlington, VA, he was the son of the late C. Robert and Elizabeth A. (Sturzebecker) King. In addition to his loving wife, Rose, he is survived by his two children; Justin and Nathan King both of Lancaster, PA, two sisters; Kathleen wife of Ed Norris of St. Augustine, FL, and Lori Applegarth of St. Michaels, MD, nieces and nephews; Helly Scholten, Greg Scholten, Jesse Applegarth, and Jack Applegarth. Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger King. A service celebrating the life of Richard will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30AM at Crossway Church; 330 Barbara St, Millersville, PA 17551 with Pastor Bill Haughery officiating. A time for greeting the family will take place from 10-10:30AM. (There will be no viewing.) Inurnment will take place in Conestoga Memorial Park privately and at the convenience of the family.
