Richard A. Johnson, Sr., 80, of Kennett Square, died Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. He was the husband of Barbara (Dennison) Johnson. Born in West Chester, Richard was the son of the late Lorenzo and Mamie (Smith) Johnson.

A graduate of West Chester High School, he was a self-employed mason. Richard loved and cared for his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife Barbara, are his son Richard A. Johnson, Jr., husband of Victoria (Thomas) of Avondale, his daughter Denine Randolph of Kennett Square, sister Mamie Johnson of Fayetteville, NC, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
