Richard B. "Dick" Buckwalter, 98, of Willow Street, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Ironville, West Hempfield Twp., he was the son of the late John H. and Maggie Behmer Buckwalter. His wife of 56 years Gertrude R. Huegel Buckwalter died in 1996.

A 1933 graduate of Lancaster Boys High School, Dick worked as the foreman of the Tool and Die Shop for Armstrong.

Dick is survived by his five children, Richard E. Buckwalter, husband of the late Sarah of Lancaster, Ellen B, wife of William C. Fenstermacher of Kennett Square, James P. Buckwalter, husband of Sally of Lancaster, Kenneth E. Buckwalter of Lancaster and Barbara B., wife of Thomas F. Conway of Reinholds, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

The Funeral Service will take place 1 PM Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with Rev. Leo M. Goodman, III officiating. Viewings will be held 6-8 PM Sunday, June 1st and 12-1 PM Monday, June 2nd at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
