Richard S. Butler, 45, of 410 E. Main Street, Lititz, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Essa Flory Hospice Center.

Born in Corning, New York, he was the son of Lucille Hoffa Butler of Wellsboro and the late Franklin J Butler. Richard was the husband of Carrie Saire Butler, and they were married for three years in August.

Mr. Butler worked for Barnes and Nobles Book Sellers for 27 years and was a  store manager for 19 years. His family and books were very important to him.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are three children: Alison Rae Butler, Lauren Kate Butler, and Jacob Kevin Charles Butler; two brothers: Ron Butler of Wellsboro, and Bob Butler, husband of Bari Nash of Lincolnwood, Illinois. Richard was preceded in death by a brother Charles Butler.

A Memorial Service will be held at St Thomas Episcopal Church, 301 St Thomas Road, Lancaster, PA. on Thursday, Dec. 14 ,2006 at 11:00 AM. Following the service the family will greet friends.
