Richard C. Baer, 53, of Lititz, PA died Sunday, May 13, 2012, unexpectedly at The Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Carl and Mitzie Nelson Baer. He was married to Maureen Cabry Shaffer Baer.

Richard was a home inspector and owner of Pillar to Post.

He enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving besides his wife, there are five children: Matt husband of Kayla Baer, Lexington, KY, Ryan Baer, State College, Pa, Jessica Baer, Harrisburg, Stephanie Shaffer and John Shaffer both of Lititz, one grandchild, Rylan Grace Baer, two brothers, Michael husband of Bonnie Baer, N.C., Steve Baer, Reading, PA and a sister, Karen Baer-Sims, Reading, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, Pa on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00AM. There will be a viewing on Thursday Evening, May 17, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA from 6-8:00PM and on Friday Morning from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Please omit flowers.
