Rhoda C. Gamble, 98, formerly of Bausman, passed away at Brethren Village on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Born in Bird-In-Hand to the late Herman S. and Alice B. (Kiehl) Becker, she was the wife of Lawrence E. Gamble for 53 years before his death in 1995. She graduated from J. P. McCaskey High School and worked at Hamilton Watch during WWII. Rhoda then worked at Watt & Shand for 7 years. She was a member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren, where she volunteered in the kitchen and sang in the choir. Rhoda enjoyed sewing and doing needlework and embroidery. She volunteered at the Village Store at Brethren Village. Surviving Rhoda are her son, Lawrence E. Gamble, II, husband of the late Dorothy (Gehman) of Lititz and her grandson, Andrew P. Gamble, husband of Lauren (Parrish) of Lititz. She was preceded in death by 9 siblings. Rhoda's family will greet friends from 1 to 2 PM, followed by her memorial service at 2 PM with Pastor J. Calvin Wenger and Pastor J. Mark Tedford officiating, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Brethren Village Chapel. Private interment in Hempfield Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
