Regina Rice, 78, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Mennonite Homes. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Lilllie (Rice) Axe.

Regina graduated from Pequea Valley High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Elizabethtown College. She returned to her studies and received Master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Rutgers. She retired as a teacher from the Union County School District in New Jersey. Regina loved teaching and her students. She was an avid reader but her passion was helping underprivileged children. She also enjoyed traveling internationally and never visited the same place twice. Regina loved to cook and her friends and family considered her a gourmet chef. Regina was a born leader. She was very active at Highland Presbyterian Church when she returned to Lancaster.

Surviving is a brother, Ronald Rice (Cathy Miller) of Little River, SC; a nephew, Tyler Rice (Leslie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a great-nephew Jaden; great-niece Jalien; an uncle, Jack Rice (Billie) of Gap, PA; a cousin, Patricia Deckman- Donnelly (Patrick) of Denver, PA and many cousins.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any children's' or educational organization of your choice.
