Obituary

Raymond M. "Marty" Valle died on January 10, 2025. He refused to say he battled cancer and it won. He said cancer would die with him, and it did.

He was born on Veteran's Day 75 years ago in Lancaster, PA. He was the son of the late Raymond M. Sr. and Pearl Valle of Mount Joy. Marty was of the Christian faith and loved Jesus. He was at peace as he left this world for the next.

Surviving to miss him very much is his wife of 42 years, Loretta, his children, Missy (Skip), Craig (Karlie), Todd (Wendy), Stacy (Jeremy), and bonus daughter, April (Jose). Also, fourteen grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters and their spouses, four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-laws, countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one very special great-great niece, all dearly beloved by Marty.

Marty was a proud thirty-year, retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force/ANG, deployed both in wartime and peacetime.

Marty was a multi-talented, skilled, and creative person, who enjoyed woodworking, metalworking, and above all helping people. There are countless people who would attest to that fact. Being humble, he would cringe that I wrote this, but he deserves it.

Special regards to all his friends throughout the years – you know who you are. He had such varied interests so he met people from so many walks of life. His pigeon racing friends, his antique restoration friends, his veterans club friends, just to name a few. Thank you. And for the team of nurses and doctors who cared for him, especially his primary doctor, Dr. Eric Hussar, thank you for your compassion and prayers.

After a brief service held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with military honors and a Christian Remembrance of his life, Marty will be interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Please don't send flowers, but donations to Wounded Warrior Project , or Tunnel to Towers would be appreciated.

"See you on the other side" as he would frequently say.
