Raymond H. "Butch" Styer, Jr., 78, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday July 3, 2025, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Raymond H. Styer Sr. and Betty (Cramer) Styer. He was the loving husband of Betty A. (Schaeffer) Styer.

Raymond was a proud Navy Veteran and spent many years working as a truck driver before retiring. Raymond loved the simple joys in life—watching football and NASCAR, taking walks on the Ocean City boardwalk at night, and spending time at his beloved cabin in Somerset County. He especially cherished time at the beach and relaxing days swimming and napping in his son's pool. A soft-spoken soul, Raymond had a deep love for his cats and always found comfort in their company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Styer, his wife of 61 years; his children, Anthony (Melanie Witte) Styer, Melissa (Brian) Fryberger, Jeffrey (Susan) Styer, and Robin Shreiner; his grandchildren, Olivia, Travis, Hunter, Jennifer, Haydn; and a great-granddaughter, Harper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepbrother, Stacey Styer.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9AM to 11AM at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Military Honors Service will follow beginning at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
