Randy W. Styer, 61, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Patsy (Stokes) and the late Jerry Styer. Randy shared a cherished union with his beloved wife, Marie (Schreiber) Styer.
A graduate of Manheim Township High School, Randy proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Marines. He later pursued a career as a self-employed painter, leaving his mark on the world through his craftsmanship and dedication to his craft.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Randy found joy and fulfillment in various hobbies and pastimes. An avid enthusiast of motorcycles, he reveled in the freedom of the open road. Fishing expeditions at Hammer Creek provided moments of tranquility and connection with nature, while his passion for painting allowed him to express his creativity and artistic vision. Randy also cherished visits to Ocean City, MD, where he could relax and unwind amidst the coastal beauty.
Randy's greatest source of pride and joy, however, was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, finding immense happiness in the loving bonds they shared. His children, Ashley Forbes (Dustin) of Lititz, Joshua Ackerman of Manheim, Megan Stoppard (Jared) of Manheim, and Erika Styer of Lancaster, along with his grandchildren, Hayden, Braela, and Jeremiah, brought immeasurable light and love into his life. Randy's faithful companion, his dog Luke, was a constant source of comfort and companionship. In addition to his immediate family, Randy was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Styer.
In honor of Randy's memory and his unwavering support for his fellow veterans, memorial contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, www.pawoundedwarriors.org an organization dedicated to assisting veterans in need.
As we bid farewell to Randy and celebrate the profound impact he had on our lives, may we find solace in the cherished memories we hold dear and the love that will forever endure in our hearts.
