Obituary

Ramonita Negron, 78, of Lancaster, died December 25, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services. Born in San German, Puerto Rico to the late Tomas and Carmen Torres, she celebrated 50 years of marriage to Monserrate M. Negron last June.

She was one of the first Latino's to settle in Lancaster, arriving in 1953. Ramonita was devoted to San Juan Bautista Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for 30 years. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and attending auctions.

Ramonita loved spending time with her family, including husband Monserrate "Mike", daughters Madelyn Rivera Negron (Daniel) of Lancaster and Maritza Negron of Lititz; grandsons Troy L. Turner, Jr., Ahmad R. Turner and James R. Wilson, Jr., great-granddaughter Keilany Turner; brothers Anibal Torres of Florida and Miguel Torres of Lancaster; and deceased siblings Maria, Tomas Jr., William and Iraldi Torres.

We love you and will always remember you.

FUNERAL: 11 AM Monday, December 30, 2013, at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, with Rev. Allan F. Wolfe as Celebrant. VIEWING: 10-11 AM Monday at church. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
