Ralph C. Schillinger, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Lancaster, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna (Spreng) Schillinger. He was the husband of Carol J. (Beringer) Schillinger.

After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ralph embarked on a successful career as an engineer at FJ Stokes, where he became a leading expert in the field of Injection Molding. Ralph was a man of many passions. He was a devoted Catholic; his faith was the cornerstone of his life. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, whether it was water skiing, building train sets, bird watching, or walking the beach. He was a natural and energetic problem solver, whether it was his daily 5 a.m. Sudoku showdown or the never-ending house-related projects at both his and his children's homes. His greatest joy, though, was the company of his family, especially at their cherished annual retreat to Chincoteague, VA, where he designed and built a home by hand. Those who knew Ralph were familiar with his infectious sense of humor and his mischievous spirit. He loved playing tricks on his children and grandchildren.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Carol Schillinger; his children, Timothy Schillinger, Christine (Brian) Hannon, Matthew (Rima) Schillinger, Karen (Edwin) Paul, and Gregory Schillinger; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Schillinger; and his siblings, Albert, Anna, Fred, Margaret, and Richard.

Friends and family will be received from 11AM to 12PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. A Funeral Mass will follow beginning at 12PM.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
