Rafael A. Ortiz, "The Mayor of King Street" 87, of Lancaster, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Born in San German, PR he was the son of Carmen and Alberto Ortiz. He was the loving companion to Cruz Padilla.

Rafael was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. He retired from Tyson Foods after many years of service. Rafael enjoyed traveling to New York and Texas to visit family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed eating out at his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster. Rafael was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

In addition to Cruz, he is survived by his children: Eugenio Ortiz; Nilda Ortiz; Elsie Ortiz and Lourdes Ortiz all of Puerto Rico; and Angel Ramirez of TX; Grandchildren: Angel Ramirez; Betzaida Ramirez JoeAngell Ramirez and Kristina Ramirez; and Great-Grandchildren: Angelina, Diamond, D'Angelo , Jazzlene, Wyatt and Wade. He is also survived by eleven brothers and sisters. Rafael was preceded in death by his son, Winston Ramirez and brother, Jose Angel Ortiz.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received from 12PM until the time of service.
