Obituary

Quan Tien, 86, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on April 14, 2021. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Quan was the son of the late Quang Tien and Lam Hue Thuan, raised by Ha Binh. He was the loving husband of Giai Luu, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Quan was a man of few words, but he cared deeply about his family. One of his special joys was spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren when they came to visit as he enjoyed watching them grow up. He was also tech savvy and took great enjoyment in being able to stay in touch with relatives and friends from near and far. He was a stoic man but always maintained his wit. Quan was an excellent handy man and enjoyed working on his car as a hobby.

Quan is survived by his six children: Robert, husband to Anita, Fairfax, VA; Tiffany, wife to Paul, Fairfax, VA; Andrew, husband to Joy, Lancaster, PA; Connie, wife to Tom, Exton, PA; Quyen Tien, husband to Manorack, Broomall, PA; and Kim, partner to Mark, New York City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one brother.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA 17751. Interment will follow at the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to www.liverfoundation.org or by mail to: Charitable Giving, American Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052.
