Placida Martinez, 84, of Lancaster passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Seferino Martinez and Basilisa Fontanez. She spent most of her life raising her family. Placida loved the House of Worship. She also enjoyed nature, gardening, bingo, traveling and music, but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Carmen, Iris, Wanda, Angel, Jorge, and Ivelis. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucy, infant son, Juan Alberto, brothers, Eustaquio and Carlos and sisters, Herminia and Isabel. Family and friends will be received from 12-2PM followed by a Prayer Service at 2PM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Flowers will be received for the service
