Phyllis A. Rauba, 87, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024. Her parents were the late Linford F. and Irene (Roth) Christman, along with her stepmother, the late Mildred (Smale) Christman, all of Palmerton, PA. She was a graduate of Palmerton High School. For 23 years, Phyllis served as a teller for Fulton Bank. Upon her retirement, she went on to volunteer at the Leola branch of the Lancaster Public Library.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Frank R. Rauba, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2022. As a mother and grandmother, Phyllis was a cornerstone of her family, always offering unwavering support, love, and guidance. She never missed a swim meet or event for her grandchildren. Phyllis possessed a remarkable talent for counted cross stitch and garment making. Her creations, from clothing to Christmas stockings, were a testament to her creativity and care.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Patricia A. Lantz and her husband Rick of Strasburg; Lynn M. Wilt and her husband Jeffrey of New Holland; and Thomas F. Rauba and his wife Charlene of Lititz. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer R. Nissley and her husband Dustin, and Zachary T. Wilt, M.D., and his wife Courtney, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jade and Roslyn Nissley. Additionally, she is survived by her brother-in-law Kenneth G. Rauba and his wife Karen.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Frank at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville, PA.
