Obituary

Philip L. Holsinger. 60, of Lancaster died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Oyster Point, Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Barbara Leinart Holsinger. Philip would have been married 40 years in September to Judith Roland Holsinger. He was a retired respiratory therapist from the former Community Hospital of Lancaster. His memberships included Celebrate Life Christian Church of Lancaster, the Corvette Club, and Lancaster Sertoma Club. He was a history buff, loved his family and grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife are three children: Steven P. husband of Angie Holsinger of Mountville, Staci wife of Peter Marshall of Conway, S.C., Shari wife of Derrick Hevener of East Prospect, York, eight grandchildren: Toby, Zach, Andrew, Nate, Emily, Abbi, Rachel, Caiti, three brothers: Kenneth husband of Lottie Holsinger Mifflintown, PA., John husband of Janice Holsinger,  Palmyra, Daniel Holsinger, Salunga, three sisters: Lois Booth of Elizabethtown, Gladys wife of Warren Zimmerman, Denver, Pa. and Betty Martin of Leola.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz Pa on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 11:00AM., with the Rev. Steven Taylor officiating.   Interment will be in Mountville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects to the family at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 7-9:00PM and on Wednesday from10:00-11:00A M.
