Philip Carroll, 78, of East Petersburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Long Island City, NY, he was the son of the late Martin and Rose (Condit) Carroll. Philip was the husband of Patricia (Brady) Carroll with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage this past October.

Philip retired from Jones Motors as a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving in addition to his wife Patricia are 9 children; Kathleen Miller (Dave) of Lititz, Joseph Carroll (Sandra) of Loveland (OH), Peggy Rivera (Dave) of Maryland, Shelia Tran (Tony) of Lancaster, Maureen Lefever of Leola, Philip Carroll (Marcia) of Lancaster, Eileen Regar (Rusty) of Lititz, Erin Carroll of Chambersburg, and Brittany Buchanan of East Petersburg. 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Carroll.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 11 a.m. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will be private.
