Peter J. Marcher Jr., 92, of Lancaster, passed away, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Willow Valley Retirement Community. Born in Ft. Wayne, IN., he was the son of the late Peter Sr. and Vincencia  Marcher. Peter was the husband of Marie Marcher with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this month.

Peter proudly served his country in WWII in the United States Army. He was the Head Brew Master at the National Brewing Company. He enjoyed farming, gardening  and playing cards.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Marie, are 3 children; Peter J. Marcher III husband of Susan of Timonium, MD., Carol A. Lagna wife of Michael of Parkton, MD., and Marilyn M. Conn wife of Stephen of Houston, TX, and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Oswald G. Marcher.
